This year, I was completely spoilt rotten by my family. I had everything I could have ever wanted and more underneath the tree for me so I thought I'd share it all with you! I was going to split this up into a few posts but I thought I'd just make it a bit of a long one and throw it all together. *insert obligatory blogger disclaimer here* I'm not using this as a way of showing off or bragging about what I got, I am truly so grateful for every present I received, everything is so thoughtful and special to me and it's just shown me how truly blessed I am to be surrounded by such an amazing family. I also know that a lot of people love these posts (I know I do) and a few people have asked for it. So without further ado, here's what I got for Christmas!
Beauty: I think beauty and makeup products were a huge focus this year when picking out presents for me, my sister in particular went crazy. My sister is one of those people who gives you a massive box wrapped, full of individually wrapped smaller products. I think because we know eachother so well, it's so easy for us to pick out hundreds of things the other would like. Son on top of all the other bits she got me (which I'll get to later) she got me a huge selection of new beauty bits to try. The biggest surprises of all were probably the Nars and Charlotte Tilbury bits, she picked me up the Charlotte Tilbury lipstick in Glastonberry and a Nars Audacious lipstick in Charlotte, both shades I was after! She also picked me up the Nars Illuminator in Copacabana. Having taken a peak at my Pinterest wishlist, she also picked me up a few other bits and pieces I wanted including the NYX Contour Palette and Angel Veil Primer. The Zoeva En Taupe palette, Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso a huge selection of Stila bits from TK Maxx. (Remind me to pop in there every now and then, I had no idea they stocked so many makeup bits!) She also popped a little Essie trio in there, which apparently "doesn't count as a proper present as it was a freebie", but to me it totally counts.
I also asked my parents for a few beauty bits this year, my dad likes having links emailed to him so I asked for the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette and the Too Faced Natural Matte palette expecting to perhaps get one, so opening both up Christmas morning was definitely a huge surprise! They also bought me the Stila Liquid Lipstick Trio which has three gorgeous colours in it, I can't wait to start wearing these as they're possibly my favourite brand of liquid lipstick. This year I ran out of my all time favourite perfume, Miss Dior, so my parents also picked me up another bottle of this as. Finally, the two Mac bits were from my brother. Considering he told me he was going to get me a stick from the garden and put in a box pretending it was a wand, I am pretty impressed with his choices. I've been after Soar Liner for so long now but everytime I go to get it, it seems to be out of stock so he picked me up one of those and also a Minzeralize Skinfinish in Global Glow. Thanks bro! (And thank you to my sister for helping him out, ha!)
Baking: You'll be well aware from my baking posts on here that this has become one of my favourite hobbies this year, so naturally my family picked out a few new bits for me to try out. My main present off my parents was this Kenwood Electric Hand Mixer, I normally mix all my cakes by hand and it can get extremely tiring, I think I've got massive biceps in my right arms from all that folding and stirring, so this mixer will come in so handy! My sister also bought me some adorable cookie stamps and the cutest personalised wooden spoon that says Megan's Magic Mixing Spoon, how cute is that!? (I think someone's been reading my Christmas gift guides!) She also picked me up a couple of cookbooks, one all about mug cakes and one by Mary Berry (my absolute queen) and the dish you can see in the top of the photo that says "Let's Eat Cake", that'll really come in handy for a few new baking ideas I have coming up this year.
Other bits and bobs: My sister also chose a few bits from Lush for me to try out, this was the best smelling present I've ever unwrapped! I might do a completely separate post on those bits as well as a few other pieces I picked up in the Boxing Day sale. As well as those (I told she went crazy), she picked me up some new pyjamas, since I pretty much spend every waking moment in them and this awesome ceramic Harry Potter travel cup from Primark! To go along with my new pyjamas, I have the cosiest new dressing gown from Topshop, it's super fluffy and the hood has adorable teddybear ears on. Anyone else loving getting cosy bits for Christmas? And of course, it wouldn't be Christmas without loads of sweets and chocolate!
I hope you enjoyed this post! If you want any in depth reviews of anything mentioned here once I've tried them out properly, then let me know in the comments. What did you get for Christmas this year?
You got some amazing things, you lucky thing you!
