It's only within the last month or so that I've really gotten into wearing eyeshadow on a regular basis, despite having a couple of really beautiful palettes at my disposal. I guess it was a combination of the time it takes in the morning coupled with the worry of looking like I've been punched in the eye that stopped me delving further into the world of crease colours, blending and smoky eyes. I can't wait to start expanding my collection and really jumping into and experimenting with loads of different colours and styles. But for now, here's a look at the three eyeshadow palettes that I've kept stored away in my drawers until recently as well as a few of my favourite shades from each.
Stila | In The Light:
This palette contains everything you need to create a few different eye looks with a couple of matte shades, some subtle shimmers and some really gorgeous intense metallic shades for the lid, crease and inner corner. Out of this palette the only two shades I haven't really touched are the two in the bottom right hand corner as the blue isn't really a colour I've wanted to play around with yet and I'm not brave enough to use a really dark eyeshadow out of fear of looking like I'll have a black eye. The stand out shades for me have to be the warmer neutrals and brown shades, in particular Kitten, Bubble and Sunset. It's no wonder Kitten is Stila's best seller! All of these eyshadows are highly pigmented and buttery soft to touch as well as incredibly easy to blend. The palette also comes with a nice big mirror and an eyeliner (which I have sadly misplaced).

Zoeva | Naturally Yours:
The most affordable out of the three palettes I'm talking about today at £15.95. Again, I haven't touched the black shade in the corner but I've used and love every other colour. Again there's a nice selection of mattes and shimmers and you can create an entire look using just this one palette. I particularly love the shimmery shades as they're incredibly smooth and almost creamy to the touch, blending out like a dream, though the matte shades are just as good. Even though this palette is made of cardboard it doesn't feel cheap and lightweight and it features a magnetic closure to keep it shut when travelling. The only thing I'd say is missing would be a nice mirror in the top.

Pure, Smooth Harmony, Sweet Sound, Forever Yours and Slow Dance. |
Urban Decay | Naked 3:
I'm sure just about every beauty blogger out there has this palette or one of the other Naked palettes. This was the first eyeshadow palette I bought and has just about every matte, shimmer or glittery shade you need to create loads of different looks from understated everyday to a smoky night time look. I think the pretty pink undertones really spoke to me with this one. The formula of Urban Decay shadows is wonderful, they're really buttery smooth and easy to blend. The only niggle I have is with a couple of the more shimmery shades like Dust, I find there is a lot of fallout though this can be combated with a slightly damp brush or using my finger instead. This is the perfect palette for travelling, it comes in a really sturdy metal tin with a massive mirror and double ended brush (which I don't really use to be honest but in terms of travelling it is a great addition).

I don't own any Zoeva products but I really like that palette it kind of reminds me of Lorac's unzipped palette. I want the Naked 3 palette but I feel like it wouldn't really look good on me. The Too Faced Natural Palette is my favorite at the moment.

I'd love to try some Lorac shadows, they're so difficult to get in the UK though! I have two Too Faced palettes on my Christmas wishlist this year.

Love the colours that are in the Zoeva palette! I have the Naked 3 palette but barely use it as the colours are a bit too rose toned for me x

I just bought my friend that Zoeva palette as part of her christmas present, but now I'm regretting now getting one for myself because it looks so good!

I love all of my Naked Palettes! That Stila Palette looks beautiful, too, though I haven't tried it! You should try to get your hands on the Tartlette Amazonian Clay Matte palette, that's my favorite right now! :)

I love the look of that palette, I definitely need to invest in some matte shades. Is that different to the Tartlette palette?
