Thank You NARS

Everything I've tried from NARS, I've loved. Their Deepthroat blush is in my all time favourites and my most recent purchase from them, the One Shocking Moment palette, is an absolute dream. They're one of those brands that although on the pricey side of things, always nail it with their products and make me feel like I'm really getting something luxurious and quality. So I'm sure you can imagine my excitement when a message popped up in my Instagram recently from NARS, asking for my details so they could send me a thank you gift for being a loyal #NARSISSIST. I had to double check and then check again that it wasn't some sort of hoax or joke and had really come from their official account before I scrambled to send along my details. I even checked again in the morning that it hadn't been some sort of dream. 

I'm not 100% how they came across my account or found me, I can only assume that they'd seen a photo hovering around or search their hashtag and select people at random. All I know is that I feel incredibly lucky. A week later a box from FedEx arrived at my flat, honestly I wasn't even expecting it to be from them, especially not so soon. But lo and behold inside there was a black bag sporting the iconic logo, sent straight from their New York office. Inside there was a small white envelope with a hand written note and the products, all beautifully wrapped in black tissue paper. Not only do I think that it's wonderful they send out products to thank people for being customers but I also think it's amazing how they take the time to wrap all the products so nicely and write out a personal note. It's a really nice way of giving back to the people who have spent money on your products and supported your company, plus it's a pretty awesome surprise. On top of everything, I received two full sized products that normally retail at around £40. One of their dual intensity eyeshadows in the shade Pasiphae and a velvet shadow stick in Hollywoodland, both of which I believe to be from their Fall 2015 collection! 

Pasiphae isn't a colour I would gravitate towards in store but oh my goodness, is it gorgeous. It has an incredible duochrome effect, looking brown in some lights and green in others. NARS describe this as a "shimmering peacock burgundy" and I totally see where they're coming from. It's packed full of green glitter that translates incredibly to the skin. I've yet to test this on the lids but when swatched on the back of my hand it's incredibly intense, even more so when applied slightly wet. I think this will be a wonderful Winter and Christmas shade, it's super glitzy and glam.

Hollywoodland just screams me. I've never owned a shadow stick of any sort before but I may have been converted with this. The colour is a gorgeous pale gold almost champagne shade that applies as what can only be described as a creamy consistency before it dries down completely. Again I've yet to test this on my eyes but from the swatch on my hand, it appears that it's an extremely long lasting product, I can hardly budge it off my skin! This is another one that will be great for parties around the festive season or just for general everyday wear for those of you who love a shimmery, metallic eye look.

I'm so pleased with my two products, I can't wait to start trying them our properly and creating some gorgeous festive eye looks with them. Thank you NARS!
