Spring 2016 Beauty Wishlist

Being on a spending ban is hard, like, really hard. My bank balance is finally feeling the pinch of all those nights out I've been on recently, V Festival tickets, rent, petrol and train tickets. (There may have also been half a dozen or so new dresses...) I don't remember the last time I bought a beauty product and that is a big deal for me. I even found myself refraining from buying a new Collection Lasting Perfection concealer, that's how desperate the situation is for me right now. So what better way to help me resist spending than my compiling a huge list of new bits and pieces I want to try out. (Please note the sarcasm). Seriously, it took every ounce of my being to not buy anything here.

Makeup Geek Contour Pan | £7.95
I've not heard much about the new Makeup Geek contour pans but judging my the quality of their shadows (my absolute favourites) I expect that these will be just as wonderful. They seem to have a nice range of shades for all skin tones and I love being able to completely customise my own contour palette full of powders I'll actually use. I love my NYX palette and it is customisable but you still have to buy the initial 8 shades, some of which you might not use.

NARS Sheer Glow Foundation | £31
A huge beauty blogger favourite and yet something I've never tried. Clearly there's a reason that this is so hyped up and I'm always game to try out a new foundation so as soon as the next student loan comes in, this baby is mine.

Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Blush Palette | £35
This one really doesn't need much explaining. A combination of gorgeous packaging and 6 beautiful blushers makes this irresistible. Plus, I'm a sucker for anything limited edition.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Cream Contour Kit | £39
I'm pretty keen to start experimenting with more cream products as we head into Spring and Summer and with cream contour looking much more natural, I think this is the perfect place to start.

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer | £22.50
The only thing keeping me from buying this is the price. I just can't justify that sort of money for something I get through so quickly when there are much cheaper alternatives. Though I do want to broaden my concealer horizons and where else to start than with an extremely popular one. So conflicted.

Zoeva En Taupe Brush Set | £36.95
The price of this set pains me but they're just so gorgeous, the colour is beautiful, just look at that taupe. They'd go perfectly with my En Taupe eyeshadow palette, look beautiful on my dresser and I'm desperately short of eye brushes, I keep having to use the same ones for everything!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit | $40
So Hollywood from Anastasia is one of my all time favourite highlighters so why would I not want 4 new shades all together in one palette? Riddle me that.

Lit Cosmetics Loose Colour | £11.25 & Makeup Geek Sparklers £9.50
Once my spending ban is over I'm on the hunt for some massively intense glitter shadows for nights out. I love the Makeup Geek foiled shadows but sometimes I want something way more in your face and sparkly. These two look like good options after using loose glitter.

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick | $20
It's no secret that liquid lipstick is a huge weakness of mine and I've heard incredible things about the ones from Kat Von D, it's just a shame they're difficult to get a hold of over here. A Sephora purchase is definitely needed once I get paid.

Too Faced Love Flush Blush Wardrobe | £27, Zoeva Coral Spectrum Blush Palette | £15 & Zoeva Warm Spectrum Eyeshadow Palette | £28.50
Because apparently wanting one blush palette just isn't enough when you can have three. Too Faced are just absolute winners with me and can do no wrong, so naturally instead of just picking up one of their new highly raved about blushers, I'd rather have the whole set. And don't get me started on the Zoeva spectrum collection, I've had my eyes on everything there since I first saw the images floating around on Instagram. That packaging is to die for.

Too Faced Born This Way Foundation | £29 & Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara | £19
Another two massively popular products from one of my all time favourite brands. Both of these are supposed to be incredible and honestly I'm shocked I haven't tried them yet. Props to Too Faced for sensational packaging, as always.

Have you tried anything on this list? What's on your Spring beauty wishlist?

  1. I'm on a spending ban too so I feel your pain : (
I had a recent moment of spendiness and bought the Nars concealer, and I can say it's worth the price so when you're ban has finished you should definitely try it.
Top of my wish list at the minute is the Anastasia Brow Definer x
