Treat Yourself This Valentine's*

If you read my previous post about Valentine's Day, you'll have hopefully picked up a few ideas on how to spend the day whether it be with a boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, wife, friends, dog, cat or alone. In this post I thought I'd give you a few gift ideas for you to either treat yourself or someone else you love. Because we all like to be treated once in a while, god knows we deserve it.

Chocolates: A staple really. I never met a chocolate bar I didn't like. Thornton's have a huge selection of gifts for Valentine's day varying massively in size and price. They even have some great personalised gifts to choose from. Personalised chocolates to myself? Yes please! I'm currently running a giveaway to win one of the Continental Chocolate Hearts pictured above in my previous blog post if you fancy winning yourself some chocolatey goodies.

Perfume: This Chloe perfume* is a new favourite addition to my collection, I love a floral and feminine scent and this is just perfect for that. It comes in a super pretty bottle, really simple and feminine, topped off with a pretty bow. The first time I wore this perfume to work I instantly got asked what I was wearing and told that I smelled amazing, and it really does smell incredible. The initial scent I get from this is a really pretty powdery rose but it also features notes of peony, freesia, lychee, cedarwood, amber and honey. You can find your perfect Valentine's Day scent with Debenhams here.  They have a huge selection to choose from for either yourself or your Valentine.

Makeup: I couldn't write about beauty on this blog without suggesting treating yourself to some new beauty bits could I? Treat yourself to a new palette or lipstick, I've got my eyes on the new Stila Liquid Lipstick shades and a whole new pile of Makeup Geek shadows and brushes. You can then use all your new makeup to go out on the Saturday night or Valentine's night itself, I'll be getting dolled up to go out with my best friend!

Underwear: For the first time in my life I finally have a matching set of underwear... or 5. Having always been larger chested I've never been able to fit into anything remotely nice, it's always just big and beige. But having lost weight recently, my boobs have finally shrunk enough to fit into some pretty Ann Summers sets. Winning! Whether you buy it to treat a partner or just for yourself, a nice bra and thong can make any girl feel sexy and wonderful.

Alternatively you could take someone out for food and to the cinema (Star Wars is incredible), go on an experience like an escape room or zombie survival game. A traditional teddy bear and flowers is always a winner in my opinion. Or, you don't have to do anything. It's totally ok to not celebrate Valentine's Day and to just treat it like any other normal day, whether you're loved up or not.

* This post features free PR samples however all opinions are my own. I only accept and write about products that I genuinely enjoy and think work on the blog. I am always 100% honest.

  1. I really want to try that Chloe perfume I've heard so many good things about it! I'm not doing anything huge for valentines but my boyfriend said he's got me some little gifts so I said I would pay for dinner! But like you I'm always happy with teddy's, flowers and soppy gifts :D x
