Irresistible Me Extensions Review*

A few Summers ago, I made the drastic decision to dye my hair blonde, a decision I would soon come to regret. Naturally, I have your bog standard medium brown hair and for as long as I can remember I've dyed it darker and tinted it slightly red or purple with little damage. It was time for a drastic change and going blonde for the Summer seemed like the obvious choice. Long story short, I ended up going through the whole process far too quickly and ended up with very dry damaged hair that had snapped off so much I went from having thick hair past my boobs to thin shoulder length hair in a matter of months. That's where hair extensions started to come into my life, mostly for special occasions and nights out. And though after a couple of years my hair is finally getting back to its former healthy self, I still love to add extra volume and length.

I was recently contacted by the lovely people at Irresistible Me and asked if I would like to try out their extensions and as my current set are on their last legs, I jumped at the opportunity. Irresistible Me carry two lines of clip in extensions, the Silky Touch and Royal Remy. Both are made with 100% human Remy hair, meaning they're both incredibly soft and of good quality.

Silky Touch: 100% human Remy hair and incredible quality extensions for a lower price. They can be easily styled, coloured, and cut to suit your needs and thanks to the decrease in thickness of hair at the ends, these look super natural. They come in a huge range of colours, lengths and weights so there really is something for everyone to add length, volume and seamlessly blend with your own hair.

Royal Remy: Again, these are 100% human Remy hair but these also have a unique treatment to Irresistible Me applied to add extra silkiness and durability. Ultimately these will last longer and the thickness remains constant from top to bottom. Again these can be easily cut, coloured and styled like natural hair.

I opted for the Silky Touch extensions in medium brown, 20", 200g. I wanted something that would add a bit of length and loads of volume so this seemed like the perfect option. Despite being around Christmas time, the extensions arrived really quickly and nicely packaged up in a cardboard box, with the extensions really securely stored inside. The packet inside has two different compartments, one containing a 3 clip weft and the other containing the rest of the extensions. It's really important to open the smaller compartment first as this will act as a colour tester. If you're unhappy with the colour of extensions, granted you haven't opened the larger compartment, you can send them back for an exchange or refund. They also come with the clips already sewn in, so there's no faffing around trying to do them yourself.

On first reaction I was incredibly impressed with the colour and quality of the extensions. They're a pretty spot on match for my hair colour and blend amazingly with my own hair. I really like how they thin out at the ends as this adds such a natural look to the extensions. And I can't even tell you how soft they are, I could sit there and run my hands through them for hours! 200g is a lot of hair, I was really pleasantly surprised at just how many wefts you get in a set, one huge 4 clip (I've never seen anything like this in any extension set), two 3 clips, five 2 clips and two 1 clips. You can use as many or as little of these as you like, depending on how much volume you want.

Irresistible Me also have a really helpful YouTube channel, full of videos on how to style, colour and use your extensions as well as a great video showing all the colours side by side, which made it miles easier for me to pick my perfect match. I watched a few of their videos before putting in the extensions, just to be sure I was doing it properly as although I've used extensions in the past, I've never had quite so many wefts to work with. In the end I left a few of them out as I felt like I had the required volume and length. One thing I would do next time is style them and my hair into curls, as I think this will look really pretty and work really nicely. The extensions were super comfortable to wear and the clips, unlike others I've tried, felt really secure. I didn't have to worry about them sliding down my hair or coming undone.

Overall I am incredibly impressed with Irresistible Me Silky Touch extensions. They're easy to style and work with, comfortable to wear and provide an impressive amount of hair to use! I really like that these thin out at the ends, as it makes for a much more natural finish. If you're in the market for some new extensions, definitely try out Irresistible Me.
