The Autumn Tag

Autumn and the build up to Winter is probably my favourite time of year. It's time to crack out the big knitted cardigans, the berry lipsticks, cinnamon scented candles and all the layers. It's the season for bonfires, fireworks, gift giving and family. I love it! So in honour of this time of year I thought I'd participate in an Autumn tag. I found the questions on Makeup Savvy.


1. Ok we're talking coffee's - what's your favourite seasonal drink from Starbucks/Costa/Cafe Nero etc?  

I'm not a coffee drinker in the slightest, just the smell makes me feel slightly nauseated. I wish I was, I feel like Starbucks would be so much more exciting! I do however love a hot chocolate so any new hot chocolate from Costa is my go to! Their brownie hot chocolate was incredible, so indulgent. 

2. Accessories - what do you opt for, scarf, boots, gloves?

Definitely a scarf! I wear the same tartan scarf from Accessorize with pretty much every outfit throughout Winter. I tend to wear all black outfits A LOT so I feel like this scarf just adds that pop of Autumnal colour that I need. 

3. Music - what's your favourite music to listen to during Autumn?

My music taste doesn't really change but rather than opting for the more upbeat house and dance music like Calvin Harris, which I love for Summer, I find myself listening to more chilled out, acoustic songs. Ed Sheeran's first album is one of my personal favourites. I seriously recommend Kiss Me and Wake Me Up.  

4. Perfume - what's your favourite scent for this time of year?

I wear the same perfumes all year round, my favourite being Miss Dior but my boyfriend does have an incredible aftershave that smells like cinnamon and Christmas, so that gets used a lot. Does anyone else prefer mens aftershaves and body sprays to womens?

5. Candles - what scents will you be burning this season?

The current candle I'm burning is by Village Candle and it's their Brownie Delight scent. If you love sweet chocolate scents then this is the candle for you. I've never had a candle give off so much scent when burning, it fills the room with the most delicious chocolate smell. I'm looking at getting a few more from them, probably some cinnamon and apple pie scents. 

6. What do you love most about Autumn?

Layering clothes, reading books by an open fire, heavy rain while I snuggle up inside, warm blankets, all the orange and red leaves on the ground, Bonfire Night, Halloween and the lead up until Christmas. What's not to love?

7. Favourite makeup look?

Berry lips and gold eyes. Simples. 

8. What are you looking forward to most in Autumn?

Definitely the build up to Winter and all the exciting things happening then. A lot of my favourite TV shows are coming back this season too like The Walking Dead, American Horror Story and The Apprentice. All these things will definitely be helping me get through the stress of university projects and dissertations.
