Although I do tend to switch up my makeup pretty often, changing up everything from my foundation to my lipstick, there are products that I do like to reach for more often. Here's a quick run down of what I've been using on my face (I did forget to include a highlight, this tends to be Mary Lou Manizer by The Balm, just one tap of my brush delivers an incredibly intense glow to the cheeks). I then use Urban Decay Chill Setting Spray to keep everything well and truly locked down for the day.
Primer | Benefit Porefessional: This primer feels and works like a dream. I personally am a big fan of silicone based primers, I feel like they work best for me, creating a silky smooth base for my foundation that extends the wear for hours. Does anyone else love the smell of this too?
Foundation | Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum: This foundation feels light and fresh on the skin, with a fruity scent, medium coverage and dewy finish.
Concealer | Collection Lasting Perfection: You can't go wrong with this for the price. Great coverage and formula, I've never had any problems with creasing. I use this in the lightest shade to cover problem areas and also as a highlighter under the eyes, on the chin and forehead.
Powder | Rimmel Stay Matte: Again this is just one of those products that does a great job for the low price. I go over the areas where I've concealed with this just to set it all in place. I also brush this lightly over areas where I tend to get oily over the day.
Bronzer | Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil: Never have I ever wanted to eat a beauty product so much. This bronzer smells just like chocolate and this shade is perfect for those of us with fairer skin. It's not too orange or red which I find an issue with some bronzers.
Blusher | NARS Deepthroat: A really pretty pink blush with just a hint of peach and a tiny bit of shimmer. This initially goes on quite sheer but can be built up to create a lovely flush to the skin.
Eyebrows | Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in dark brown: I'm still getting used to this product having always been a powder gal but I love how with this I can create really dramatic brows with a bit of a heavier hand and tone them down by being a little more gentle with the brush. Once applied this bad boy does not budge. I'm talking long lasting brow power here.
Eyes | Maybelline Lash Sensational and Rimmel Soft Kohl Liner: I've used this black eyeliner for my waterline for as long as I can remember, it glides on smoothly and is incredibly pigmented. Nothing much I can say about this really. You may have also seen my review on this mascara, so you'll know that this is a great product for creating definition in the lashes.
Lips | Vaseline, MAC In Anticipation Liner and Stila Patina Liquid Lipstick: I always prep my lips with some sort of Vaseline or lip balm before applying lip liner, this just helps them stay moisturised and hydrated. For an everyday light pink or nude lip I tend to use In Anticipation which is a light dusty pink shade, I've then been topping this with Patina by Stila which is a gorgeous dusty mauve. These colours last all day even after eating and drinking, perfect for those who don't want to be reapplying every few hours.
What products do you reach for on an everyday basis?
The Collection concealer and Rimmel powder are so great :) It's just so pleasing when basic budget products work so brilliantly.
ReplyDeleteThe lipstick looks like a gorgeous colour too, I'm really into mauvey-pink colours lately.

Patina is the most perfect dusty rose/mauve for everyday wear!

Rimmel Stay Matte is definitely a must! I was given it as a gift from a friend and I haven't parted with it since. I cannot live without a good lipstick or mascara, that's for sure!

And so cheap too! I don't think I'll ever spend much more on a concealer.

I want to try the Bourjois foundation! In the US I can only get it on Amazon but I haven't made the purchase yet!

I live in the US too and I ordered mine from either Amazon or eBay (it's been a while, I can't remember haha), and I'm so glad I did! It really is an amazing foundation! You should definitely get it. :)
DeleteDefinitely try it out, it gives such a gorgeous glowy finish and smells so nice too.

Our everyday favourites are so similar! Benefit Porefessional has been working like a dream for me lately with Bourjois Healthy Mix - I've never tried the serum version though! Rimmel Stay Matte is also a classic powder every beauty addict should have in their collection, I've also only just recently tried the Collection Lasting Perfection and I am so in love!! This has replaced my MAC prolongwear for brightening under the eyes, it's amazing!

I love the serum version. I have the original too but I just find the serum a little lighter for everyday use. The concealer is wonderful, I can't justify spending any more on concealer when this works so well.
