My MAC Lipstick Collection

Hi, my name's Megan and I'm a lipstick addict. I don't know where the obsession started or how but all I can say is that it's definitely still going strong. To some this may be a ridiculous amount of lipsticks and to others this may only be a fraction of what they own but to me it's exactly what I need (until the next time I feel spendy anyway). Most of the lipsticks I own are MAC, mainly because I think they have a great range of colours and finishes with something perfect for everyone. My personal favourites are the matte, amplified and satin finishes, I just prefer the way these look on my lips and the overall finish of these. Matte lips have always been my favourite, they provide great opaque colour whilst also lasting the longest. Some of the MAC matte lipsticks can be a bit dry, particularly those in the retro matte finish but for me, the colour pay off is totally worth it. The satin finishes are also a somewhat matte formula, this time with a little more sheen. They still provide great colour while being less drying. Finally the amplified colours provide just that, amplified colour in a creamy texture that feels great on the lips. These don't last as long on the lips but they are far more moisturising than the matte or satin formulas.

Pink Pigeon | Matte: An extremely bright almost fluorescent pink, I love this one for a night out with an all black outfit.

Rebel | Satin: A dark berry purple, perfect for Winter and paired with Currant lip liner. The darkest shade I own.

Girl About Town | Amplified: A dark vibrant pink, again another one that I love with an all black outfit on a night out. (I see a theme here already).

Chatterbox | Amplified: Another daytime pink shade, this time slightly more muted with blue undertones.

Russian Red | Matte: Another shade perfect for Winter, this is a classic colour. The perfect dark red with blue undertones that make the teeth look extremely white.

Lady Danger | Matte: A super bright orange toned red, a wonderful Summer shade paired with a tan. I think this looks really striking when worn with a totally monochrome outfit.

Relentlessly Red | Retro Matte: This is the most drying of my collection, luckily it's extremely long lasting so perfect for a night on the town. It's a red that in some lights look almost pink.

Fusion Pink | Amplified: Probably the least worn of my lipsticks. A hot pink shade that almost has a duo chrome effect, leaving a slight shimmer on the lips, which I'm not a massive fan of. Still a beautiful colour I just find myself reaching for other pink shades far more often.

Impassioned | Amplified: One of my daytime pink shades, a bright pink slightly more muted than the last. Really creamy and moisturising on the lips.

Mehr | Matte: My absolute number one. A dark pinky/mauve/nude colour. I bought this lipstick after I found Velvet Teddy out of stock and I'm so glad it was, this shade is perfect for every day.

Please Me | Matte: Another daytime nude/pink shade, slightly lighter than Mehr with more pink to it.

Vegas Volt | Amplified: A light orange coral shade, great for summer!

I have a list of shades that I can't wait to get my hands on when I next go shopping but for now this is my little collection and I couldn't be happier, I feel like I have a shade for every occasion!
