Summer Homeware Haul with Ocean

Over the last month I was lucky enough to be asked to get involved with Ocean's Summer Homeware Haul, a project aimed at bringing a little needed TLC to homes over the Summer months. This season has brought with it a whole load of new trends, prints and accessories perfect for sprucing up any living space and since moving back in with my parents after living at university for three years, it was about time I injected a little more life into my unloved bedroom. As all my walls and furniture are white, I find it really easy to switch up the overall look of my bedroom by just switching up a few of the accessories I have dotted around and I decided to go from pink Spring florals to more of a bright Summer look with mismatched prints and loads of colour.

With £50 to transform my room, I headed straight for Primark as I think they have an incredible range of products in all sorts of styles at such reasonable prices and the quality is generally pretty good too. The first thing I picked up was a new duvet cover, something that I think instantly transformed the room even without all the additional new cushions. I love the mix of colours on this and the slightly Aztec-esque print as it works nicely with a lot of the cushions I already have and really helps to bring a nice pop of colour to my room.

The second and final place that I headed was ASDA. The weather recently in the UK has been amazing and I wanted to invest in some nice bits and pieces that I could use for BBQ's or quiet cocktails with the girls. The first thing I spotted were these adorable glass milk bottles with stripey straws, very Pinterest! They were also so reasonably priced compared to similar products I've seen on other websites and even come with a little wooden holder to keep them all stored in. Definitely a really cute way to spruce up your BBQ table for smoothies, fruit juice or just water. (Mine contain a hefty amount of alcohol.)
