Anastasia Beverly Hills | So Hollywood | Review

Firstly I am blaming this purchase entirely on Emily from British Beauty Addict. After seeing these highlighters absolutely everywhere on beauty blogs and instagram I knew I had to get my hands on them, it was only after reading Emily's review that I finally plucked up the courage and decided to click buy. I bought mine in the shade So Hollywood as I felt this colour would work best with my skin tone but there are four shades in total, each aimed at those with different skin tones. So Hollywood is the perfect gold highlight and let me tell you, this is intense.  It comes packaged in a simple black case with the Anastasia logo on the front and a pretty sizeable mirror inside with the product itself forming a beautiful geometric mosaic pattern. Putting my finger in to swatch this was a painful ordeal. But it was so worth it. The effect is just an instant intsense glow but it's by no means overly glittery or chunky. I feel like the sun shines from my face when wearing this. I tend to use a big fluffy eyeshadow brush of some sort when applying my hightlighter, I just find this works best for me and helps me to use a much lighter application that can then be built up as desired. One tap of this is all I need to add that metallic pop to my cheekbones and now that Winter is coming (I had to get a Game of Thrones reference in somewhere) this will be the perfect product to add that Summer glow to my makeup.
